I has a kitten
I’m fostering a kitten right now and (because I’m an absolute dork) I named her Tsali (pronounced Sally). I gave her that name because it’s the name of a North Carolina Cherokee Native American that (the legend says) saved his people from having to travel the Trail of Tears due to the Removal Act - woah, history things. I had to write an essay on Tsali and that was the same day that I got the kitten. It fits pretty well but I feel like a dork every time I try to explain where the name came from. She’s a cutie pie though!
Just As American As…
(this was one of the comments that my History professor made in the lecture I listened to today. …kinda accurate?)
My mom got a picture of a baby Albino Deer that’s living in the woods in our back yard. It’s not a very good picture but you can tell it’s an albino!
Making a Pre-Made Dinner
Ayyoooo… we made another dinner!!! While perusing the grocery isles of Target, we stumbled upon these pre-made chicken thingys. It was really just chicken wrapped around asparagus, green beans and some cheese, with some seasoning on top. But it was on sale and we were hungry!
NOM NOM NOM
Tri-colored pene mac-n-cheese and greenbeans (smothered in butter ‘cause I’m supposed to be gaining weight or something like that…). Also keep in mind that I always take pictures of his plate… in both posts that I’ve posted the chicken looks fairly small but that’s just because he gets huge portions of everything else.
CHALLENGE: next meal…do something other than chicken.
Diagnostic Digest & Running a Gel
Lab time! I’ve been gone for a while (4 days!)… It was lovely having a break but I’ve got work to do!
